+ Thursday: Arrival

From the moment you pull into the Greenhouse Cottage driveway on Thursday, the adventure begins. An idyllic setting overlooking an open pasture with gorgeous views of Fiddler's Mountain, the cottage sits on 70 acres in the most serene setting. The property is abundant with hiking trails and amazing Blue Ridge sunsets. And if you’ve been trying to convince your fiance that your dog should be the ring bearer, you’re in luck: Furry Friends are more than welcome.

Once you’ve settled in, head into town for dinner and drinks with your favorite people. With ample AirBnB, cabin, and hotel accommodations all within a 20-minute drive of Serre, you don’t even have to narrow down the list of who gets to hang for the whole weekend. Toast to the weekend with all the dining and nightlife of downtown Mount Airy.

+ Friday: Exploring

Outdoor explorers can wander through nature on over 3 miles of hiking trails on the 70-acre property, and soak in a mile of river frontage on the Fisher River. For more fun, try kayaking at tubing at Rocky Forest River Run, climb to the top of Pilot Mountain, or spend a few hours teeing off.

Indoor explorers can head into downtown Mount Airy or Elkin for a great meal and a few drinks, and even check out a local winery or distillery tour. Mount Airy also offers bowling, movies, and of course, the true Mayberry experience.

And all types of explorers would delight in a true vineyard experience at Serre. A beautiful tasting room, inviting indoor and outdoor seating, and some of Yadkin Valley’s best vintages, Serre welcomes seasoned sommeliers and sipping students alike. Not to mention the photo ops: Sweeping views of the Blue Ridge, vertical silver birch trees, river scenes, and a rustic white barn backdrop.

Everyone can head off to do their own thing Friday. But by the afternoon, you and your guests will come back together at Serre for a front porch welcome party in your honor**, which includes a two-hour open bar for up to 50 people, followed by your rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Take in every moment of celebration, twinkle lights, and a knockout view.

(** If you prefer, you can choose to hold the Welcome Party on Thursday night instead.)

+ Saturday: The Big Day

First things first: You can completely and utterly relax — everything is handled. The Serre package includes our day-of wedding coordinator, and Katie is your wedding ace-in-the-hole, at your disposal for the weekend to guide and organize.

You’ll have three ceremony options, all equally magical: Along the river, in the large field surrounded by woods, or ‘on the point,’ just outside the barn overlooking the Blue Ridge.

The bride and up to 20 of her favorite ladies will indulge in a wedding day mimosa brunch & charcuterie board in our dazzling bridal suite, followed by onsite yoga with a mountainous backdrop. (And yes, you will get to keep your personalized charcuterie board.)

The groom and up to 20 of his best chaps will enjoy brunch in the cottage, followed by a self-guided hike or group workout. And if anyone is up for a splash, head down to the swimming hole. (Floats, towels, and snacks provided.)

Ladies will head back to the lofted bridal suite to start getting ready, and fellas will head back to the cottage to do the same. Makeup and hair will come to you, so you get to stay put the entire afternoon. Plenty of luxurious space for relaxing and rejoicing.

The ceremony, oh the ceremony. No matter which of the three options you choose, you’ll be in the perfect setting for “I do.”

The rest of the evening will be pure delight as you eat, drink, and dance with those you love most. The rustic barn, the open and airy feel, the twinkle lights, mountains, the magic...an evening you will never, ever forget.

When the evening is over and your guests head back to their hotels, it’s just the two of you. Sitting around your own personal fire pit, gazing at the stars, toasting to the night you’ve just had.

+ Sunday: Before You Leave

Sip coffee over one last mountain sunrise, and maybe a glass or two of wine at the tasting room. Rest assured, the weekend might be behind you, but the memories never will be.
